War Machine

War Machine is a pulse-pounding science fiction action thriller that explodes onto the screen with military grit, raw emotion, and jaw-dropping spectacle. The story follows a battle-hardened combat engineer known only as “81,” played by the powerhouse Alan Ritchson (Reacher). When a brutal Taliban ambush in Afghanistan leaves him injured and his beloved brother dead, 81 is consumed by grief and a burning need to honour his brother’s dying dream — to become a United States Army Ranger. Two years later, driven by that unbreakable promise, he pushes himself through the brutal and legendary Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP), one of the most demanding military training programmes in the world.

81 outperforms every other candidate physically and mentally, but his commanding officers — led by a tough, no-nonsense Colonel played by Hollywood legend Dennis Quaid — question whether a man carrying that much emotional baggage belongs in the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. Against all odds, 81 earns his place in the final training exercise — a simulated mission deep in remote wilderness terrain.

But what begins as a routine tactical drill turns into something no amount of training could ever prepare any soldier for. Hidden in a remote quarry, the squad stumbles upon a crashed alien vessel — a massive, relentless, killing machine from beyond the stars. Armed with devastating advanced weaponry and near-indestructible armour, the alien war machine begins hunting the soldiers one by one with terrifying efficiency. Bullets barely scratch it.
